"Our" song.

This morning, when Tobin picked me up for school, he told me he'd found "our" song. It's called "Collide." He goes, "Well, that's how we first met." Yes, Tobin. I want "our" song to commemorate that Kodak moment.

I said I thought that "Tupelo Honey" was our song, since that's the song we first danced to, but he reminded me that "Tupelo Honey" is actually my parents' song - the one they danced to at their wedding. This debate lasted until he pulled into the junior/senior parking lot.

So then I asked him if it was really necessary for us to have a song, and he looked at me like I'd sprouted some enormous zit right between my eyes. He said, "You throw away the ticket stubs from the movies we see together, don't you?" I didn't see what that had to do with anything, but it's true - I don't save them - so I said nothing.

Eventually I agreed that "Collide" could be our song, but by that point Tobin was like, "Whatever."

We're going to see 50 First Dates tonight. I guess I better find a place to keep the stub.
